Little Finger Eater

Andrew proposes a scenario in which Brian's newborn child, Andrew Justin Robert Brushwood, is crying in his room, covered in blood when Brian realizes that his child is missing a fingertip. Immediately, Brian theorizes that perhaps a wild animal broke in and ate little Andrew Just Robert's finger. Brian looks all around the room and then comes to the conclusion that his dog must have been the culprit however, the dog is completely innocent. For some reason, Brian forgot that he had an aquarium full of piranhas in his infant son's room.

Back in reality, this exact scenario happened to a family in which they initially accused their pit bull of biting off the finger, but the actual culprit was the piranhas.

Ferret Cooties

Deep in a secret laboratory (that was mentioned in a previous episode, some scientists were experimenting with ferrets infected with bird flu and they managed to get it to go airborn.

In the scenario, Brian and Justin got invited to take a tour of this laboratory, when they say "Hmm, why is there air coming out of that vent leading to the bird flu room?" Unfortunately, something like this, but not quite as serious, happened in real life. Some internal e-mails at the CDC revealed that the building is pretty horrible when it comes to managing air flow between supposedly sealed areas.

Earth is Feeling a Bit Down

It's been a bit of a difficult time for good ol' Earth. First she found out that water isn't unique to her, then she found out that Europa has WAY more water than her and now Mars could have a higher percentage of water than her.
