The guys breakdown the final between Vulcan and Lannisport. Vulcan was trailing 9-2, and in the midst of a heroic comeback, James T. Kirk was injured, and Lannisport went on to win 9-8, their first championship in their first year in the FSL. Bones McCoy, although a physician, was in the game and therefore unable, according to FSL rules, to provide treatment to Kirk, and that possibly cost them the game. Brian Brushwood opines that the game MVP should rightly be Cersei Lannister of Lannisport.

It is announced during this episode that Commissioner Stan Lee has been ousted from his position by "The Founders", and will be replaced by Hari Seldon. In particular there were two decisions that "The Founders" disapproved of - 1.) Removing the 2011 Champions Canton Jaynes from the league and 2.) Forcing the Mordor Crows and the Rivendell Fellowship to play an unprecedented "relegation playoff". Lee blamed his poor decision making on personal issues with a family member, and he announces he will be working on a new project involving "wife swapping."

Seldon is introduced in holographic form, considering he has been dead for over a thousand years. Working well in the past, Seldon tells us he has already made all his decisions during his upcoming tenure as commissioner. He deflects criticism that future league decisions may be fixed, and re-iterates that he in no way knows bookie Shecky Green.

It is also announced that with the three teams being relegated, the Serenity Valley Fireflys and Winterfell Direwolves, as well as Mordor, who lost the relegation playoff to Rivendell, who the three new teams would be that would join the FSL in 2013.

One place would go to a fan vote winner, a second would go to a minor league champion, and it was unknown how the third promotion would be determined.

Veronica Belmont announced that the Gallifrey Time Lords won the fan vote and would be promoted to the FSL in 2013. It was announced that the Time Lords were also the minor league champions, so the automatic promotion for that would go to the second-ranked minor league team, the New York Avengers.

"The Founders" themselves made the decision on the third team to receive promotion, and it would be the San Francisco Federation, a new generation of leaders to represent the Federation.

    Great Quotes

"You say emotional, I say erratic, good sir!" -- Brian Brushwood, responding to Tom Merritt calling Spock's play "emotional".

"It wasn't just the (sub-par play by Kirk's) replacement. People are calling for a next generation of stars on this team." -- Brushwood, commenting on the future for the Vulcan team after the disappointing defeat.

"...these unilateral decisions (by Lee) essentially reduced this long and storied institution of true sports history and made it into some sort of epic fantasy." -- Brushwood, about Stan Lee's decisions.

"It is a complicated A.I., I won't bother you with the details, but I'm able to ascertain certain languages and input, and when my output is not something into my holographic diaper, I'm able to process that, repeated in such a way that it makes perfect sense, and then I am able to give a logical answer, is what I'm saying." --Hari Seldon, explaining his ability to communicate with present time from a location in the past.

"There is little from the present that has surprised us, except for Snooki, that one caught us off guard." -- Seldon

"..they published the schedule wrong. Fans thought the game was going to be at one time, and it was at another." --Tom Merritt, on the Serenity Valley Fireflys's failure to draw fans.
