The show premiered on YouTube Live on April 14, 2011, with Brian joined by [[Justin Robert Young]]. It was initially on Thursdays at 1pm CDT, but was moved to Wednesdays at 7pm CDT from the fourth episode onwards to incorporate a premiere showing of the latest [[Scam School]] episode.

Scam School: Behind The Scam (formerly Scam School Live) is "the only show dedicated to the only show dedicated to social engineering at the bar and on the street." Hosted by Brian Brushwood, Behind The Scam is a show which discusses all aspects of scamming, deception and magic. Guests on the show have included Andrew Mayne, Daniel Martin, C.J. Johnson & Rudy Coby

The show's name was changed from Scam School Live to Scam School: Behind The Scam for the sixth episode on June 1, 2011, to differentiate it from the main show.
