Steak Bets are formal bets wherein the victor claims a steak as his prize (as provided by the loser).
Origin
Steak bets originate from the second track on the comedy album Night Attack, titled High Steaks. It is here Brian portrays the future as from "a steak-centric universe." Among the multiple stark differences between this reality and our own, is that not only is it the social norm to use steaks as the only reward for bets, but it is the standard currency for future transactions.

- Justin bets that Brian's May draft lineup will collectively gross less than $357,000,000.70 (domestic) by 20 July, 2012.
- Winner: Brian
- Brian won 26 days prior to the closing deadline by a margin of $20,067,504.30.
- His May lineup earned a total of $377,067,505 (domestic) by the set deadline. The total crossed its target goal at approximately 3:18pm CDT, 24 June, 2012.
- Steaks were honored on 2 September, 2012 during NSFW Episode 143 (live from Dragon*Con), 44 days after the bet concluded. Justin and Ashley Paramore presented the steak to Brian at the panel table, with silverware hand-delivered by the Xenomorph.
The Rise of the Winter Draft Bet

- Jon bets that Rise of the Guardians will gross more than $150 million (domestic) by the end of the 2012 winter draft season.

- By the end of the draft, Rise of the Guardians grossed a domestic total of $99,762,146 and fell short of Jon's projection by $50,237,854.
- The steak was paid in full during SXSW on 10 March, 2013, 47 days after the bet concluded. The Two Steak McGee Bet was also honored at this meeting of meat. [7][8][9]
The Foreseeing Internet Television Bet

- When the service goes live is of no concern to the bet, it is only the announcement that determines the victor.
- Rumors are not admissible in the bet, it must be an official announcement.
- Brian does not have insider information regarding his affiliation with the Discovery network.

- No well known cable network offered an Internet-only version before the end of 2013.
- HBO announced this kind of service on October 15, 2014.

The Steak Lee Bet

- Brian bets that Spike Lee's Kickstarter campaign won't reach its funding by the deadline.

- By the end of the campaign, Spike Lee and 6,421 backers collectively raised $1,418,910. It funded 114% at $168,910 over the stated goal.
