Night Attack 3: Too Old to Talk

Brian and Justin's third (actually fourth) comedy album was released on the day of recording and they rocketed to #2 on the iTunes comedy charts. Wait… Number 2? I thought previous Night Attack albums debuted at number 1 on iTunes? Unfortunately, another set of internet stars with a larger audience, Starbomb, released their comedy album on the same day. But really, considering the content of Night Attack 3, being "number 2" is much more appropriate.

However Night Attack 3 DID hit number 1 in the "Poetry, Spoken Word & Interviews" category on Amazon despite being listed at $14 higher than it should have been.

Patreon

The Patreon is at $1978. If you want to become a patron, head on over to Patreon.com/NightAttack.

At the time of recording, they had surpassed their goal of 1776 patrons which means that their Alex Jones vs. Piers Morgan Musical is officially planned for the next episode.

This Show is Hosted By A Bunch of Olds

Inspired by Night Attack 3 remixer, Tropix, calling in, the gang told some stories about their interactions with young kids growing up with their shows.

Let's Get Our Family to Buy Night Attack 3

So the album is stuck at number 2 on the charts, so they decided to call up their loved ones to attempt to get them to buy the album. They first attempted to call Justin's mom, but she didn't answer. Then Ashley decided that Justin should call her possibly drunk father (Justin's future father-in-law). Unfortunately, he was literally caught with his pants down and wasn't able to buy it at the moment. Next they tried calling Jay, but he didn't answer either. On their fourth attempt, Brian called Bonnie's brother, Jason. Brian offered to give him $3.99 in exchange for Jason buying the album and he accepted. SUCCESS!

Veronica's husband, Ryan Block, was next up on the Night Attack cold-calling rampage. On their first attempt, Veronica was unable to convince her husband to give up the hefty sum of $3.99 for a comedy album. They hung up on him and decided to go for a different tactic: prank call. Ryan is apparently really into Titanfall, so audience member Craig called him as Vice Admiral Graves from Titanfall. The attempt was quite successful.

Brian's Like The Guy Who Loves HITLER!

After listening to Tropix's remix of the Hitler track from Night Attack 3, Brian told the story of the time he went to Istanbul for a show and bought a tea set featuring Hitler's likeness because he felt it was a collector's item. The set is currently buried somewhere in his house because Bonnie is very ashamed of it.

Friendly Recommendation

Mailroute

Head on over to Mailroute.net/NightAttack for a 15-day free trial.

This was the ad where Brian's kid talked to Brian, Justin and Veronica about using Mailroute. It's also the one where Veronica was caught watching gymnastic videos on Facebook during the ad read.

Chad Has Come Into His Own

The plan was to have Chad to call into the show in the middle of his weekly Tuesday night stream. Due to the NSFW nature of Night Attack, Chad stopped streaming to his primarily adolescent audience while attempting to call into the show. Unfortunately Brian never answered the call and Chad's mass of followers convinced him to give up on Night Attack and get back to his own stream.

Kuhan Didn't Buy Night Attack 3

Jose (ProfessorWhat) called into the show while calling Chatrealm's favorite whipping boy, Kuhan, to attempt to get him to buy the album. Unfortunately they were Brody'd twice. What a shame.

Hey! Let's Just Listen to the Album

None of them, especially Bonnie and Veronica, remember what they said on the album, so Brian decided to play the "Fucking Brands" tracks live on the show.

The Journey

Here's the recording of Sebgonz reading Tom's chapter of The Journey that was played in the middle of Diamond Time.

The guys didn't really discuss the book much in this episode, but here's the book doc: Link

Great Quotes

  • "I'm a big fat baby and I have big fat diaper that I leave baby turds in and I need my diaper changed." - Justin
  • "He's gonna beat me up like he did when we were kids!" - Bonnie referring to her brother
  • "Ummmmmmmmmmmm, watchin' gymnastic videos on Facebook… I thought I was allowed to zone out during adds. I've been told that was a reasonable thing to do." - Veronica

Fun Facts

  • The coolest people in the universe, Leon, Karl and CRAIIIIIIG!, were live in Justin's studio for this episode.
    • Full disclosure: This Fun Fact was written by Leon
  • It was in this episode that Veronica realized that the Sword & Laser logo kinda looks like "Smord & Laser".
