Steak Bet
Brian initiated the steak bet against Tom posing the question, "How long until we see something like this actually become available to consumers? 2013, 2014, 2015?".
- Brian bets that at "some time in 2013, we're going to have a story about a well known major cable network who offers an Internet only version of subscription."
- Tom firmly believes it won't happen until after 2013 (betting against his inherent expectations).
- When the service goes live is of no concern to the bet, it is only the announcement that determines the victor.
- Rumors are not admissible in the bet, it must be an official announcement.
- Brian does not have insider information regarding his affiliation with the Discovery network.
