Is there a mega shark lurking beneath the waves? The tables are turned as the hosts feel the brunt of our audiences weird questions!

Listener Questions

Instead of their normal format, Justin, Andrew and Brian asked for questions from the listeners on Twitter and answered them live on the show.

  • Could you make a magic trick where you remove all of your facial features one by one?
    • Interestingly enough, Jeff McBride already has a trick like this.

  • Andrew (not Mayne) - Who would win in a fight: unicorn or pegasus?
    • Brian argues that a pegasus would win because of their air superiority. However Andrew and Justin believe that the unicorn's horn will rip a pegasus to shreds. Then from the other room, friend of the show Brett Rounsaville yells to Justin, "There's a reason that humans are on the top of the food chain and not butterflies" in defense of the unicorn.

  • Simone- Who would win in a fight: unicorn or centaur?
    • Justin and Andrew are once again in agreement and side with the centaur because centaurs have opposable thumbs. Brian on the other hand sides with the unicorn because he says that a unicorn's horn is sharp like a drill and plus unicorns are magical.

  • This listener recently had and experience with sleep paralysis and he wants to know if the hosts have had sleep paralysis.
    • Brian has never had sleep paralysis, but he does have lucid dreams occasionally. Justin has the opposite of sleep paralysis in that he wakes up in the middle of the night thinking that he has things to do and goes to take a shower or other tasks. However Andrew had sleep paralysis when he was travelling in Japan. He woke up and he couldn't move and when he looked out into the darkness, he saw a person that looked sort of like the "droogs" from A Clockwork Orange.

  • Alex Serpico - If you could hear the thoughts of every human being and you would not be able to turn it off, would you take it?

  • Randall Flagg vs. The Joker
    • Andrew and Brian agree that Randall Flagg would win because he is magical. Justin doesn't know who Randall Flagg is and has no opinion.

  • Chris- What do you guys think about the megalodon?
    • The 10,000 year old tooth that supposedly belonged to a megalodon was probably not dated and identified properly. However there is still a TON that we don't know about the oceans and there could be all sorts of scary stuff down there waiting for us.

  • Brian G. - Now that the Republican party has embraced the non-critical thinking, anti-science part of the electorate and "my side" would be the only ones promoting science and it would be up to us to save the planet...
    • Brian says: "I HATE ALL OF YOU. YOU ARE ALL SELF-RIGHTEOUS PRIGS AND JACKASSES. I HATE YOU REPUBLICANS. I HATE YOU DEMOCRATS! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

  • Dan Dirks - You're back in your 20s (before you had kids) and everyone has the opportunity to drink a vial of liquid that will stop aging, cure all of your ailments, prevent diseases and increase your mental abilities. However, to stop the population from exploding, you will be irreversibly infertile and you cannot adopt children from those who did not drink they vial. Also, when you drink it someone else who you are not close to will die.
    • Brian says that he would absolutely not do it, because there is no way he would ever do anything that would un-make his children. Justin also would not do it because things like these never seem to end well. Andrew does not like the idea of being immortal at the cost of another person's life. However, Brian proposes an alternate scenario in which a person volunteers to die 10 years early in order to allow Andrew to live 100 more years, in which case Andrew would probably take the deal.

  • t2t2 - How do we prepare for the coming frog-mice apocalypse."
    • We need snake cats and the air-superiority of the pegasus!

  • Derek - If a Weeping Angel looked at a Silence, would it attack?
    • No because they would realize that they are basically the same character and the last season of Doctor Who was underwhelming.

  • Travis - What would be the best way to best way to survive an asteroid heading towards Earth?
    • It all depends on how big it is and how far away it is. The best option would probably be a mass driver. Or if you have enough time, you can use a gravity tug.

  • What's that thing off the coast of Finland?
    • Ehh, whatever

  • Drew - If aliens come and are not friendly, what could we do to survive their onslaught?
    • Justin says to go underground and do exactly what humans always do. Brian says that we should all just roll over and die.

  • You're the commander of an expedition to an unexplored life-bearing planet and you can bring three cryptids with you, which do you pick?
    • There's not many choices. There's chupacabra, bigfoot, Nessie and the Jersey Devil take your pick.

  • Unicorn meat- is it good for you?"
    • Yeah, tastes like bacon.

  • What is a centaur hung like?
    • A centaur

  • Who would win in a fight: Magneto or Plastic Man?
    • "Well that's stupid. Next question." - Brian

  • What's the weirdest comic book you've ever read?
    • Brian- The Thing vs. The Hulk
    • Justin- The Invisibles by Grant Morrison
    • Andrew- Anything by Grant Morrison

  • Was there any drama behind the cancellation of Game On!?
    • They avoided the question

  • Any thoughts on the Jersey Devil?
    • It has a pretty awesome origin story.

  • Do you think there are any other beings (lizard-people, octopus etc.) posing as humans?
    • That would be AWESOME if there were.
