The Wise-Ass Dog first appeared in NSFWshow Episode 207: Taft Punk during a Shutterstock ad read. Throughout the episode, the still -watermarked footage became a punchline; the dog's regal grace and confidence provided stark contrast in great effect to the flippant comedic stylings of Brian and Justin. Tom would then go on to parody the dramatically slow head turn of the Wise-Ass Dog.

The footage can be found here.

Style Guide

When presenting the Wise-Ass Dog, it is important to consider:

  • The watermark is traditionally kept intact.
  • The clip can be played at variable speeds, although in most scenarios, slower is better.
  • It is not uncommon for music to accompany the clip, most notably associated with the Wise-Ass Dog is Krista Branch's "I Am America."'
