Elon Musk's Secret Plan to Save the World
The Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity have been on Mars for ten years. Spirit is long dead, but Opportunity is still kicking. Recently, a jelly donut sized rock seems to have just appeared next to the Opportunity Rover. At the time of recording, nobody had a definitive explanation of what this rock was. Brian and Justin proposed that it was some micro-civilization building a monument to their giant metal rover God.
Andrew then proposed that Elon Musk and SpaceX would be the only ones that could decide to launch a rocket and check out what's up first hand. The conversation morphed into a discussion about Elon Musk deciding to launch a rocket to attempt to divert a potentially dangerous asteroid. In Justin and Andrew's fantasy, the US government is not on board and SpaceX launches without their permission.
We're Going To War with Estonia
Brian and Justin have been selected for a top secret military mission in Estonia where they are told to sneak around and kill any Estonians they see. Of course, they've adopted the nicknames "Mustache Pete" and "Ol' Whiteface". After a while, their radios stop working and they are cut off from the outside world.
Eventually, Estonians attempt to make contact with them and tell them things like "Hey guys, it's all over. We're friends now." Brian and Justin don't believe them and continue their mission.
A scenario just like this actually happened in real life. In 1974, the final Japanese WWII soldier surrendered. He spent 30 years in the Philippine jungles killing people before finally being convinced that the war was over.
Are There Still Sea Monsters?
The guys have a short discussion about if there could be large animals or other forms of life that we still don't know about. Brian ponders what a free-floating, space whale would look like.
