Next Sunday, on October 7th, SpaceX will attempt to launch their Dragon capsule with their Falcon 9 rocket into low-Earth orbit for their first official International Space Station resupply mission. Andrew was already planning to go up to Cape Canaveral to watch the launch, however he applied for, and got accepted into the NASA Social program which gives him the ability to watch the launch from inside Kennedy Space Center. Because of this momentous occasion as well as Andrew's access, Andrew will Skype in live for the launch on a very special Weird Things episode that will be broadcasted on the [[TWiT Network]]. The broadcast will feature Brian, Justin and Tom Merritt in studio and skyping in, as well as Andrew from KSC.

An Actual Key to the City

Andrew was browsing eBay when he found something very interesting for a buy-it-now price of just $149.95. The item was a "Fireman's Keyring" that has a series of keys that will let you into almost all of the skyscrapers in New York City and control all of their elevators. Since it already sold, apparently it's legal for anybody to own this, however if they ever use it they will surely be immediately thrown in jail.

Bonnie is Turning into Brian

Some researchers did some research on a bunch of "female autopsy candidates" and they found that 63% of them had Y chromosomes in their brain. Of course this is strange, because women by definition have only X chromosomes. However all of the women were pregnant and the DNA of their mate and/or baby boy stayed in her body and set up shop in their brain PERMANENTLY.

Using Your Brains

Inspired by the previous topic Brian brought up the topic of using different parts of your brain at the same time.

This Week in Space

The Curiosity rover recently discovered evidence that there was once flowing water on Mars. Brian also read an article that presented evidence that Titan, a moon of Saturn, experiences seasons.

Next Week in Space

Next Sunday, on October 7th, SpaceX will attempt to launch their Dragon capsule with their Falcon 9 rocket into low-Earth orbit for their first official International Space Station resupply mission. Andrew was already planning to go up to Cape Canaveral to watch the launch, however he applied for, and got accepted into the NASA Social program which gives him the ability to watch the launch from inside Kennedy Space Center. Because of this momentous occasion as well as Andrew's access, Andrew will Skype in live for the launch on a very special Weird Things episode that will be broadcasted on the TWiT Network. The broadcast will feature Brian, Justin and Tom Merritt in studio and skyping in, as well as Andrew from KSC.

The episode will be broadcasted live on Sunday, October 7th right after This Week in Tech (about 5pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern). Also, should the launch be delayed a day or two, it is assumed that the broadcast time will be moved with it.
