Afterlyfe.me

Brian has a new experimental side-project called Afterlyfe.me. It is a social networking service for after you die that will essentially create a ghost of yourself on Twitter. He also hopes that in the future they will be able to implement some form of AI that will tweet articles that you would have liked if you were still alive.

Andrew is skeptical as to whether or not this is a good idea, because he is afraid that every year he will have to relive Brian's discovery that he has butt cancer. On a serious note, when Andrew eventually dies, he doesn't want everyone to be hung up on his death, he wants everybody to move on.

Brian argues that Afterlyfe.me is not about the person being dead, but about the person going into re-runs and entertaining people after death. Not knowing how things will turn out, Brian admits that this is an "art project" and not a start-up.

Long Lasting Legacy

Andrew asks his co-hosts what they would make that would be around 1,000 years in the future. Brian brings up "America's Stonehenge" also known as the Georgia Guidestones. It is a monument consisting of six stone slabs with ten guides for the future inscribed in eight different languages.

After many other stupid ideas from Justin and Brian, Andrew tells us that we can go to a place and experience the same feeling that someone else felt 30,000 years ago. Werner Herzog is directing a movie called "Cave of Forgotten Dreams", it is about a recently re-discovered cave in France in which there are cave paintings from 30,000 years ago. At the deepest points in the cave, the air is filled with carbon dioxide and radon gas. On the walls, there are paintings of cavemen's hallucinations.

Worst Case Scenario

Andrew asks what the worst case scenario while sitting in a McDonald's in another country. A common theme quickly becomes apparent in Brian's fears. He mentions hostage situations, diseases, slipping on a rock, and food poisoning; in each scenario he would experience torturous pain and a slow death.

Justin is much more serious in that he is afraid of a car crashing through the wall.

Andrew admits that he has some legitimate fears, but forgot to mention that there had been a lot of rain recently and there is massive flooding. Turns out the worst case scenario would be bull sharks swimming down the street. This actually happened recently in flooded regions of Australia.

They mention that prior to this, Australia was afraid of the effects of a drought. This brought up the idea that the three of them should get in their time machine to go to town hall meetings just prior to natural disasters to mock them about what is about to happen.
