White People Rich, or more commonly abbreviated and hashtagged #WPR, is an phrase that is used to joke about a white person (usually Brian) talking publicly about their affluent lifestyle. During NSFW or Night Attack whenever a white person (usually Brian) casually mentions that they own something expensive or they have a lot of money, the chatroom will be flooded with #WPR.

The joke really took hold when Neshcom composed the White People Rich song and Ashtopher edited together clips of Brian to make the music video.

Origin

The phrase was coined by Beef in the chatroom, on May 21, 2013 during the NSFW episode appropriately titled White People Rich. Brian, Justin, Brett and OhDoctah were discussing the recently announced Xbox One and Brian said dismissively "Whatever, like- yes I'll buy it. However much money it is; I don't even care". After he said this, OhDoctah and Justin jumped all over him and mocked him relentlessly with a White People Rich club banger. Neshcom, known for taking clips from the show and turning them into songs, Brian made the stupid decision of saying even more outlandish things to give Neshcom more ammunition.

Watch the moment where Brian dug himself into a hole he has yet to climb out of (at 50:29).

Legacy

Brian has and, very possibly, still feels extremely uncomfortable when a #WPR moment presents itself during a livestream. Unlike other jokes that have a fairly short lifespan, #WPR has stood the test of time and is still a common phrase in the Chatrealm vernacular as of late 2016.

While the joke has almost exclusively been at Brian's expense, Adam Curry's wealth overshadowed his own during the Night Attack episode The Man in the White Castle. During this episode, Adam mentioned things like selling a plane, having a castle in Belgium and downsizing to only having ONE pilot. Brian was quite pleased to relinquish the #WPR crown even if it was only for one night.
