Want to be a Street Performer?
Number 139
Broadcast Date November 10, 2010
Episode Length 15:14
Hosts Brian Brushwood

So by now you've got well over 100 kick-ass tricks you're learned from scam school, and I get a LOT of letters from people asking how to hone their skills as a performer. Everyone's different, but I know that for me, street performing was an invaluable experience. It forced me to learn how to build a crowd, how to recognize when people were getting bored, and gave me an opportunity to hone my skills without having to book a "real" show. In this episode of Scam School, we take it to the streets and try to discover the ins and outs of street performing.

Revision3 Summary

Brian interviews a street drummer and learns how he got started on the streets of San Francisco.

Brian interviews another street performing artist, Angel Man!

BustedTees

I want to take a minute to tell you about BustedTees. The dudes over at CollegeHumor set up this site as a depot for funny shirts back in 2004 and they have been putting out the most awesome designs you're gonna find on the Internets. It doesn't matter if you're into video games, movies, geography, politics, science-fiction or just wrapping your torso with something weird, BustedTees literally has you covered. They're the coolest items of clothing since windbreakers were invented. (sotto:) Windbreakers are cool, right? You might have seen a BustedTee or two pop up in movies like Knocked Up and shows like Scrubs. Now you can grab one to have for your very own, forever and ever and ever. And they're printed in the good ol' USA on high-quality super-soft materials in a sweatshop-free environment, so you won't be plagued with guilt when you order them, which is, you know, always a plus. Head on over to BustedTees dot com RIGHT NOW - actually, finish watching this video - THEN head over to BT, start scrolling, and get ready to find the shirt of your dreams -- your bizarre, hilarious dreams. Enter the promo code "SCAMSCHOOL" and receive 10% off your order.
