Night Attack 2

Holy crap, Night Attack 2 is finally out! Go buy it. It peaked at #35 on the U.S. iTunes charts for ALL albums. Meanwhile on the iTunes comedy album charts it rose to #1 in the US, UK and Canada for the entire weekend stayed there for the next few days.

The album was finally released (two days late) on Amazon just before the recording of the show. By the end of the show there were 29 5-star reviews and 1 4-star review... what an asshole.

More Comedy Album Talk

As the one, somewhat negative, review pointed out that the Night Attack albums aren't stand-up comedy. They more closely resemble Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner's album "2000 Year Old Man", in that it's all just improv comedy. Brooks and Reiner's album was pretty short and recorded live; this gave Justin and Brian the idea to record a shorter comedy album in front of a live hotel room audience at Nerdtacular 2013.

The Story Behind "Racist Justin"

Justin and Brian talk about the story behind the recording of the Night Attack 2 track "Racist Justin". Justin has told this tale to his friends time and time again and it had always gotten a great response. Unfortunately this was the first time that Justin had told it to a friend that was also a father. During the actual recording, Brian was horrified at this unsettling encounter between a father and child. After Justin finished telling the story, Brian said that the track was absolutely not going to make it on the album.
