Summary
Control match heads as they sink or float in a water-filled bottle.
Setup
Brian has a bottle full of water and a bunch of match heads, he then takes bets on whether the match heads will sink or float.
While the guests bet one way or the other, Brian takes both bets, predicting that one will float, one will sink, and one match head will remain suspended in the middle.
Method
Brian reveals that this is effectively just a cartesian diver, which operates on the pascal principle. Each match head is slightly different and contains varied amounts of air within them. Because they all just barely float, the pressure that Brian applies to the water can influence their buoyancy, which manually adjusts where the match heads float (or sink).
