Revision3 Summary

How to Make a Cork Disappear: The Effect

Grab a cork, salt-shaker top, or any object you can wrap your fingers around. With your other hand hold a pen or straw as your "magic wand."

Ask your sucker to watch closely as you tap three times with the pen... And on the third tap, the pen completely vanishes.

For about 5 seconds they'll be fooled, until you turn your head and reveal that the pen is nestled in you ear. After the groan, you knock 'em dead: tap your fist three times and open your hand to reveal Tuaregs original object has completely vanished.

Revealing the Secret & The Vanishing Straw

This one is all about misdirection. No need for any double joints or knucklebusting skill, just the ability to focus your suckers' attention.

This ones easy: while you're setting up the but, position your body to draw focus toward the cork. Hunch over and get them to look closely too. This hyperfocus on the cork will allow you to slide the pen into your eat during the third drawback, effectively vanishing the pen for a few seconds.

Now for the important part. At the exact moment they realize the straw is in your ear, their guard will be down and all their attention on your face. At this moment, deposit the cork into your pocket. No need to be tricky about it, they're not event going to be watching you by this point.

Now you're set. With the cork ditched, keep your hand in a closed fist as though you're still holding the cork. Repeat the tapping motion, reveal your fist empty, and score your free drinks!

The National Campaign Against Drunk Driving

Far too many people do not understand that alcohol, drugs, and driving DO NOT MIX. The message is simple guys: Drinking and Driving? Over the Limit? Under Arrest....don't put yourself or others in danger. Law enforcement officials will be out in force all over the country from August 25th through September 6th, cracking down on drunk drivers. Beyond putting your life at risk, you could cost yourself a bundle of time and money: jail time, the loss of your driver's license, higher insurance rates, and dozens of other unanticipated expenses from attorney fees, other fines and court costs, car towing and repairs, lost time at work, etc. The worst/best part of drinking and driving is that it can be avoided so easily. You can still go out and have fun, just plan ahead: if you are going to drink, designate a driver, call a taxi, use mass transit, or find some kind of sober ride program.
