- In yesterday's show you said, "Cash in circulation grew 42% from 2007 to 2012." I found that unbelievable. I inferred from what you said that it was the amount of currency, when in fact it's the value of that currency. From the Federal Reserve Board you can see that the value went up from 42% between 2007 and 2012:
FRB: Currency in Circulation: Value
https://www.federalreserve.gov/paymentsystems/coin_currcircvalue.htm
That got me to thinking, should we remove inflation? From the inflation calculator at http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ I see that inflation went up 10.7% cumulatively.
I think we can subtract those two numbers, giving us an adjust value increase of around 31%.
Which is CRAZY. I would have ben a million dollars it had gone down.
I thought, maybe it's only in the last 3 years it's gone down? Nope. Value of US currency in circulation went up 22% from 2012-2015, with inflation of 4.9$, so still a 17% growth.

- I discovered Domino's in the UK, started using a facebook messenger bot. Message the word pizza to the bot and your favourite pizza will be delivered to you (after you set up your preferences on payment on the website). I tried it out and I am happy to report that the process went surprisingly smoothly to order. The Bot gave me an opportunity to check my details, order, address etc through a nice conversational interface (i only did this as it was my first time using the service, there was an option to go straight to order)
The only worry i had was when the online tracking tool seemed to think that i had received my pizza before it actually arrived and I was wondering which of my neighbours was enjoying a free pizza but it turned out the delivery driver had gone to my neighbour due to not being able to see the house numbers easily from the road.
All in all I was impressed at how easy and friendly the whole process was! - Sent by Ian in sunny Scotland
