Jack Webster starts the show off with failure

After an intro featuring ABC's Wide World of Sports, Brian Brushwood and Justin Robert Young talk briefly about iTunes and introduce the concept for the night's episode: breaking world records. They are joined for this episode by Dan Rollman, co-founder of the The Universal Record Database.

After discussions about the origins of URDB, they moved on to record attempts:

  2. DJ Z (Zach Holder) - Longest URL generated using a URL shortening service (success)
  3. DJ Z (Zach Holder) - Longest URL generated using a URL shortening service that is also a complete run-on sentence (success)

  6. TSSaloic - Largest number of people watching a plea for a show to be put on Zune Marketplace (determined lame)
  7. Jack Zhang - Longest time listening to a 1 kHz tone (success)
  8. Podnutz - Say the Greek alphabet faster than anyone (success)
  9. Masterwabbit - Draw 10 Homer Simpsons (success)
  10. Rabidbadger - Most cheeses named in 10 seconds (success)
  11. Kade Sandlin - Number of sporks in the mouth at one time (success)
  12. Kuhan - Fastest time to eat an apple - core included (failed to beat 56.31 seconds)

  • Brian mentioned starting a Fantasy Cricket League. He and Justin later created a Fantasy Movie League.
  • This episode's video is not available for download from TWiT's web site, but the file is on Cachefly if you can figure out the episode's file naming scheme.
