SCOTT JOHNSON PREDICTIONS

  • This will be the year Nintendo comes back riding on the popularity of the Switch game console.
By July or August will have sold 10 million Nintendo Switches.
New Pokemon franchise plus bringing the full Nintendo game IP for the Switch. Possible Mario pack-in game.
Won't increase 3rd party game support.
  • Tech companies will butt heads with the Trump administration.
  • DTNS will rock in 2017. (Shannon agrees)

PATRICK BEJA PREDICTIONS

  • Valve or Oculus will announce a 2nd generation headset but not necessarily release.
  • Apple will not release a connected AR product including an SDK.

SHANNON MORSE PREDICTIONS

  • We see hits to large online and data privacy and security. Net neutrality and privacy regulations (USA Freedom Act) will be stripped away.
  • Mirai or variations of it will cause people and industry to take a closer look at IoT products. Consumer focused software (like nmap) to check to see if your IoT products and vulnerable.
  • DTNS will rock in 2017. (Scott agrees)

DARREN KITCHEN PREDICTIONS

  • Will see a war on cryptography like legal regulation for backdoors.
  • Wearables will hit a slump in 2017 until there's a huge leap in battery or sensor technology.
  • Emergence of the ubiquitous selfie drone. Be the next wave of drone craze. And could see the banning of the selfie drone.

JUSTIN ROBERT YOUNG PREDICTIONS

YES OR NO, no partial credit
  • The 1st ticket to Mars will be sold by SpaceX. Customer will probably be an industrialist or large company.
  • Jonny Ive will resign from Apple.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will make more than $652 million. Making it the highest grossing Marvel movie of all time. 4th all time highest.

LEN PERALTA PREDICTIONS

  • See a push towards internet accreditation as a reaction to fake news. Possibly integrated into a web browser to highlight a sites that are accredited or not.
  • Adobe will produce a full featured Photoshop for the iPad.
  • Apple will introduce a Cintiq killer.

TOM MERRITT PREDICTIONS

  • End of 2017 an autonomous car service will launch out of testing somewhere in the world. Will still require an attendent. Neutomony, Uber or Alphabet.
  • IoT will market itself on AI and collaboration with other IoTs.
  • Hololens will launch and will sell better than any of the VR headsets.
