Put together by a band of IT ninjas, security professionals and hardcore gamers, Hak5 isn't your typical tech show. They take on hacking in the old-school sense, covering everything from network security, open source and forensics, to DIY modding and the homebrew scene. There is a Hak5 ad at the end of The Equation in which Darren Kitchen and Matt Lestock hack into the Revision3 studio monitors.

Roughly a year and a half later, Brian Brushwood appeared in Episode 704: Malware Analyzis Sandbox and PC Remote Control over Twitter where Darren stole Brian's hat and revealed his unspiked hair.
